March 2011:  What is available today at the farm?

  • Pork Chops, fresh bacon, spare and country ribs, fresh ham roast, and ground pork available.  Pork cuts delivered individually wrapped by the butcher, frozen.
  • Whole chicken available.  Fresh chicken delivered individually bagged, frozen.
  • Free Range Eggs available.
  • Our wingter vegetables still available.  The greens are extremely good at this time, due to the recent freezing and frost.
  • Lettuce available throghout March:  bibb, buttercrunch, and black seed simplson variety.
  • Swiss chard available during March.
  • Kohl rabi available during March.
  • Collards available during March:   vates and Georgia variety.

Coming in April/May:

  • Tomatoes coming in mid-April.
  • Watermelons and cantaloupe coming in May.
  • Sweet corn coming May and June.
  • Wide variety of beans coming in May:  stringless, Kentucky Wonder, cream, etc.
  • Summer Squash comign in April:  Yellow Crook-neck and Straight-neck, Tatume, Zucchini, Scallopini.
  • Winter Squash coming June:  butternut and spaghetti.
  • Cucumbers coming in April:  marketmore, ashley, straight 8.
  • Eggplant available in April:  black beauty and Japanese.
  • Basil (sweet, Thai, King of Siam, lemon) coming soon–fresh cut herbs or in pots.
  • Oregano, dill, thyme, and assorted herbs coming late March.
