Our mission is to provide local customers wholesome food that is grown in harmony with nature.  We share your passion for growing, cooking, and eating local farm food, and want to be your partner in this journey of good eating.

Our farming methods are good for plants and animals.  It is a wonderful coincidence that the most delicious food is also the most humanely and ethically raised.  No hormones, steroids or antibiotics are ever given to our animals.  We never use chemical pesticides or fertilizers on our plants.    

Healthy animals are raised in harmony with nature in an environment free of stress and crowding.  Our porkers and chickens roam the fields and forests of our farm enjoying the natural forage they love:  grass, acorns, weeds, bugs, plants, and roots.  They have continual access to custom grain rations.  This diet creates incredibly healthy animals.  They are gently and humanely processed to complete the cycle of a happy life.  It is more work to grow food in this way, but absolutely worth the effort. 

Our farming practices help the environment.  Conventional agriculture has become an ecological disaster.  The chemical run-off, fecal lakes, and soil depletion generated by modern agribusiness are clear indicators of how misguided our food system has become.  However, Four String farming practices continually improve the environment.  The more our farm grows, the more environmental benefits we create.  The beautiful eco-preserve on our farm is a great example of how we grow in harmony with nature.
